Learn how to make flat piece of felt using a wet felting method. Even if you have some experience with wet felting, I recommend that you start with this class before moving on to 2 sided felting for items such as hats, bags, slippers, as I use a slightly different method of wet felting than most.
This work shop will teach you the basics of wet felting. You will make a flat piece of felt. Wool shrinks approximately 20% – 30% when it felts. The finished size approx 12″ x 16″. The finished felt would be suitable to sew into a cushion cover, a small bag or as a wall hanging.
We use a lot of water and soap in felt making, so please bring along an old large size towel, and wear comfortable clothes, that you don’t mind getting slightly damp. If you would like to make a picture, bring along a cartoon sketch of your project.
The fee will cover costs of all materials and supplies to make your project. Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be provided.
