Training

I have been weaving/spinning/dyeing for four years now. I assist Sr. Edith Nemeth at Penn View Art Center in Elizabeth,PA. I have trained with her, self-taught and taken week-long and weekend courses. I currently am working on a self-directed program of learning through HGA

Loom Weaving

I offer beginning weaving on a frame using 14 different techniques. I also am available to teach on-loom and off-loom warp painting. I am very interested in boundweave and could do a boundweave workshop. I am also very interested in drafting and design, and could do a workshop helping others to understand these.

Dyes

I do silk dyeing using the Japanese style of Shibori. I also do silk painting and experimental silk techniques. Basic natural dyeing and experimenting in naturals is also available.

Other Fiber arts

Papermaking and bookbinding, marbling along with theJapanese form of marbling, suminagashi.

Travel

I would be willing to travel, workshops or lectures in the history of previous stated art venues.

I am very interested in experimentation of color and structure and design in all aspects of fiber related artworks. It is my opinion that education is vitally important to grow as artists and artisans, growing joyfully and stretching that inner artist to new bounds, not boundaries. Happiness is a choice...creativity is a choice...and isn't it wonderful to have that choice?!
