| Ryijy Matto - Rya Backing |
 For those who don't weave but like the plushness of a rya rug I now are able to supply the backing so you can make your own rya.The backing is woven using a pure linen warp and wool weft. The backing allows for rows of knots to be tied with .5 inch vertical spacing of rows and 4 knots per inch. Kits including the yarn are also available. More designs will be added shortly. The backing comes in 3 widths and can be purchased by the linear foot. The weft is woven in natural white. |

The rya backing is handwoven at the time of your order. The warp is pure linen and the weft is 100% wool. Depending on the size of the piece, please allow 2 -4 months for completion of your order, depending on yarn availability, and production scheduling. Please Note: All products are Custom orders and require a 50% non-refundable deposit. This covers my cost of the yarns - should you change your mind and not want the kit. |
